Beginning Wednesday, May 16th, Henry Elementary will officially “unplug” from electronics. Students will not be using iPods, iPads, computers, Chromebooks, the ActiBoards, etc. There will be no movies being shown. We will be using that time to focus on hands-on learning tasks. Plus, we have a few fun, physical activities in which students will be involved. Those who met their reading goal will go bowling on Friday. Field Day is Monday! Parents, if you wish to get in touch with teachers, they will have access only on their school computers during morning attendance and their planning. Or, you can call the school and leave a message for the teacher to call you.
Parents who wish to see the Virginia Department of Education’s information about student achievement, school safety, and teacher quality at Henry Elementary may visit the new School Quality Profile website. Children who sell discount cards will have their names entered into a drawing for one of four prizes provided by our PTO! All children who sell a card will be allowed to attend an ice-cream party and movie. The contest and opportunity to attend the ice-cream party ends on Feb. 6th.
These cards are a fantastic deal! If every Henry child could sell 3 cards, we’d have them all sold. Please help our PTO.Discount Card 18
